Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old art of healing developed in China. It is based on the energetic pathways in the body known as meridians. Very thin needles are inserted in to specific points on the body with the intention of balancing the meridians and thereby balancing the body. The symptoms are a clue to where the imbalance is. Acupuncture can be used to treat any condition whether physical or emotional.
Colorpuncture is a system of healing that uses colored light on acupuncture points and other points on the body to send a healing message to the body. Colorpuncture can be used to treat a myriad of problems from various disease processes to colds, allergies, and emotional disturbances such as anxiety or fear. It is the primary mode of treatment that Stefanie uses for children as it can be done without needles. It can also be very effective to open internal psychological blocks that are preventing personal growth.
Tui Na is Chinese massage and Chi Nei Tsang is Daoist massage that focuses on the abdomen. With Asian style massage the meridians or specific points are often massaged or worked deeper using pressure to release underlying accumulation of tension or to encourage the flow of energy (Qi). Stretching and passive range of motion is also often use to help free tight muscles and connective tissue. Using Asian style massage with acupuncture greatly assists the healing process..
